Mid Brown No.65

This colour is fully water-soluble and has the same consistency and applications of any quality watercolour paint. Even when it has dried you will still be able to work and rework the colour. This is true of all the colours in the range except Black and White. Fully saturated it is very close to Vandyke Brown as it is quite a warm brown. When diluted down it will shift in the colour spectrum resulting in a very red rust colour. But when used on certain paper (e.g. Arches) the colour separates into two distinct colours, a rust red and a muted green. This colour separation can be good or bad depending on the artist or project. An incredibly versatile colour for landscape painting and for those who like to achieve old-world effects.
